Caldwell's Story

I try to express my views in today's society by documenting my art, with a gentle, but serious approach...

Caldwell's History

Charles Caldwell expresses his unique views and voices his love and concern for his community through his art. Caldwell's mix medium and strong emotions are the trademark of his pieces which are extraordinary expressions of everyday abstract and distorted themes, with a touch of realism. One of his past series, titled, PERSPECTIVE, was his thoughts on modern Americanism spirit.

One of Caldwell's most recognized showings was at, One World Trade Center Observatory titled: "Reclaiming My Pride" in June 2018, which was featured in Metrosource Magazine.

Artist recognizes his roots

Charles Caldwell has lived and traveled throughout the country, but still retain his New jersey roots. These roots run deep, Caldwell's family has lived in Morristown, Newark, Baltimore, Chester South Carolina and Rockhill South Carolina, since the early 1800's. but it was in Morristown that Caldwell's talent was first recognized and nurtured. Charles Caldwell credits his Mother Bonnie Gladden, and his Great grandmother, Tutti Banks for getting him started on his artistic path during his early years. He also credits his grandmother Pollie Lee Gladden for encouraging him to never give up. These inspirational women demonstrated an interest in my artistic pursuits.
